Mark Van Oort

Mark Van Oort is the vice president of national layer operations at Versova, partnering with farm and plant teams to ensure safe, high-quality egg production, proper hen care, and an engaging workplace for employees on a national scale.
Mark joined the company in 2005 as a production manager at Center Fresh Egg Farm and has since held a range of leadership roles, most recently as general manager of Iowa operations for Versova. He has built high-performing teams and guided the business through major disruptions, including the 2015 Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza outbreak and the waves beginning in 2022.
Before joining Versova, Mark worked as an operations manager for Pro Pork, overseeing daily operations of multiple finishing sites. He is a graduate of Buena Vista University, where he earned his degree in elementary education.
